New terror coalition to kill Israelis

Posted on כ"ד באלול ה'תש"ע (Sep, 03. 2010) by Elder of Ziyon.

13 terrorist groups are establishing a “joint operations room” to coordinate attacks on Jewish civilians in Israel.

Since this is the 21st century, they called a press conference to announce themselves.
Since they are terrorists, here’s how they looked:

Look at all those microphones!
They promise to come up with new and novel ways of killing Jews, with “iron and fire,” and they stressed their intention to stop the PA from any compromise in negotiations.

Lebanese residents change name of "Jewish" neighborhood

Posted on כ"ד באלול ה'תש"ע (Sep, 03. 2010) by Elder of Ziyon.

From The Daily Star:

A Sidon neighborhood referencing the Jewish people was renamed by locals in honor of the besieged Palestinian Gaza Strip on Thursday.

Residents of the southern city of Sidon raised a metal sign that read “Haret Gaza,” Arabic for Gaza neighborhood, in an area known as “Haret al-Yahoud,” Arabic for neighborhood of the Jews.

The redubbing of the street was organized by a number of locals who wished to show solidarity with the International Quds Day, or Jerusalem Day, which falls on Friday.

“The move to rename the neighborhood is concurrent with the launching of negotiations between the Zionist entity and Palestinian authorities … It also expresses our refusal of the unjust siege that has been imposed on Gaza for more than four years,” said Sheikh Khoder al-Qabsh. Qabsh called on Sidon authorities and all officials to fully adopt the new name.

The original name of the neighborhood dates back to when most of its residents were Lebanese of Jewish religion. They started leaving the country in the 1950s and were absent by the time the Civil War erupted.

The new name given to the neighborhood stirred the interest of young people and many children carried plastic weapons and acted out battle scenes between the Resistance and Israel. “The Resistance won of course,” said the child leader of the make-believe Resistance Mahmoud al-Rifaii.

Nah, no anti-semitism here.

Don’t tell Fareed Zakaria!

Find Out What are the Differences Between Menorah and Hanukkah Menorah | about menorah

Find Out What are the Differences Between Menorah and Hanukkah Menorah

The Menorah is a seven branched candelabrum to be light by olive oil in the tabernacle and the temple in Jerusalem.

The Menorah is one of the oldest symbols of the Jews, it is said to symbolize the burning bash as seen by Moses on Mount Sinai.

Symbolically, the Menorah represent the creation of the universe in seven days, the center light symbolizes the Shabbat. The seven branches are also the seven continents on earth and the seven heavens, guided by the light of God. As mentioned in the Zohar, “these lamps, like the plants above, receive their light from the sun”, (Beha’aloteka beginning).

Synagogues feature a continually lit lamp in front of the ark, where the Torah scroll is kept. Called the “Ner tamid”, this lamp represents the continually lit Menorah used in the temple times.

The Hanukkah Menorah, or Hanukkah candlestick, is called “Hanukiyah” in Hebrew. Not like the original menorah, which has seven branches, this one has nine. There are eight candles, one candle for each night of Hanukkah and the ninth is called the “Shamash”.

The candles are placed in the Menorah from right to left and when the candles are lit, it’s in the opposite order (from left to right).

Every night during Hanukkah, when the candles are lit, this is the prayer that recited:

“Baruch attah Adonai eloheinu melech ha-olam asher kidshanu b’mitzvotav vetziivanu l’hadlik ner shel Hanukkah”

“Baruch attah Adonai eloheinu melech ha-olam she’asa nisim la’avoteinu bayamim hahem bazeman hazeh”

“Baruch attah Adonai eloheinu melech ha-olam she’hechyanu vekiyamanu vehigianu lazman ha’zeh.

The meaning of the name Hanukkah is “dedication” because it marks the re-dedication of the Temple after its desecration under Antiochus IV.

According to the Talmud, at the re-dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem following the victory of the Maccabim over the Seleucid Empire, there was only enough olive oil to fuel the eternal flame in the Temple for one day. Miraculously, the oil burned for eight days – which was the length of time it took to press, prepare and consecrate new oil.

Arabs constructing fake graves on eastern side of Temple Mount

Arabs constructing fake graves on eastern side of Temple Mount

8d95d770aa2abf241d4e9127b0ff5f85 Arabs constructing fake graves on eastern side of Temple Mountsyndicated blogs You will all recall that last month, some 300 fake graves were discovered in the Mamilla area and destroyed. Now, the ‘Palestinians’ are trying to do the same thing, this time outside the eastern wall of the Temple Mount.
Maya Shukri of the El Har HaMoriyah Institute, who documented the faked graves with her camera, told Arutz7 on Wednesday that at the present time, the graves are empty but an infrastructure is in place for future burials. Shukri, who compared older photographs to photographs taken recently, said that “there are markings [of graves] there, but underneath there is only soil. Some of them don’t have a tombstone.”

About a year ago, Israel’s High Court responded to an appeal which was brought forth and ruled that no burial would be allowed to take place on these grounds, and in fact, ruled that the area is to be transformed into a national park. The decision meant that the area would be cleaned, benches will be placed, and proper lighting installed.

Shukri said, however, described a reality that is far from what was ruled by the Court. “A year has passed and nothing has been done,” she said. “The police promised to provide any required assistance to turn the place into a national park, but what is happening today is that the police are preventing Jews from passing through the place.”

All the while, Arabs are continuing to place tombstones and concrete blocks in preparation for future burials on the site.

Shukri pointed out the historical value of the area which once held a a bridge that connected the Holy Temple and the Mount of Olives. In the Holy Temple periods, the High Priest would pass through this bridge on his way to slaughter the para aduma, the red heifer whose ashes were used in purity laws. Shukri said that by preventing free access to Jews to the area and by allowing it to be covered by illegal empty graves, the site’s unique Jewish history will be obliterated. The High Court recognized this, but the follow up to its ruling never occurred. Instead, Arab encroachers took over.

The gate at the top is Shaar HaRachamim – the Gate of Mercy – and it is located on the eastern side of the Temple Mount. You will note that the gate is closed, and you may even see that there are graves outside it. The Messiah is supposed to enter Jerusalem through that gate. The Muslims sealed the gate and placed graves outside it to prevent Elijah the Prophet, who will accompany the Messiah – speedily and in our time God willing – from entering the city. This is because Elijah is a Cohen (priest) and is not allowed to become ritually impure by being in contact with, or hovering over, dead bodies. Of course, that only applies to Jewish dead bodies, but don’t tell them that….

Now, they are attempting to expand the cemetery that is already there to make more areas inaccessible. This too shall be stopped.
